TAC2 Engineers are primarily responsible for triaging alerts, incoming service requests, and troubleshooting Tier 2 events in direct support of our clients and field team.

Background & Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 to 8 years’ experience managing network and systems in a Microsoft and other NOS environments
  • Background in managed services a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to see tasks/projects through to conclusion with minimal supervision
  • Able to employ sound time management skills, technical knowledge, and a strong work ethic towards meeting the company’s goals and objectives
  • Remotely triage, administer, and remediate systems, network devices, and connectivity issues
  • Provision Services
  • Basic Layer II Troubleshooting & Remediation
  • Provide remote and on-site support for customers & GDS personnel as needed
  • Install service packs & configurations on contracted systems for both OS and applications
  • Recommend reliability & security enhancements, including antivirus & other security measures, such as security patches
  • Help develop and improve our process and deliverables
  • Support R&D engineering efforts
  • Implement planned updates & enhancements
  • Issue system & network recommendations
  • Following certifications or equivalent knowledge and experience:
    • Microsoft MCSA or Cisco CCNA
    • Major firewall manufacturer: preferably FortiNet
    • Proficient with network and systems management using GDS toolsets.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Exchange, Visio, and
    • Project required.
